A coin valued at 1,100 shekel has been valued at 2,500 shekeles in a Jerusalem auction.
The coin, one of a set made of the Jewish National Fund’s Korner Korner of Nationalistic Coins, was one of seven pieces sold at the auction.
It was made in 1939 by the Jewish-owned National Bank of Israel.
The coin was struck on a zinc alloy and sold for about 1,600 shekells ($300).
It was one the few coins from the Bank to be sold in Israel.
